Bruh, people act irrational. Haven't you talked to people in real life?
I once had my father figure killed by a person in an army, so me and 3 friends went out in the wilderness alone to face off against a heavily-militarized force. Also, me and my friends went in separate groups to increase our chances of getting killed.
Then when we had our asses handed to us 800 miles away from home, we hobbled back to our encampment with a bullet wound in the face, a pregnant lady, an arrow wound, a broken arm, a broken face, and many many shattered ribs. All without medical care or transportation.
Then I decided to go on that same suicide mission after 2 years of living a nice life in a picturesque homestead with two beautiful family members because, gosh darn it, the trauma just wouldn't go away. So I destroyed my family and traveled another 800 miles on spotty intel (to put it kindly) and then changed my mind at the last second.
Can't you see this is how real people work?
