>>8623039>>8623040Sacrifice before the Lord was the OT way of getting the people to submit to a higher authority (priests). This was never a requirement of God, period. Sacrifice of your best stock was never required for the atonement of sins - it's a nonsensical proposition. Does God require meat to eat? Does God require your blood to be spilled? Are there OT Saints that made it into heaven without sacrificing?
This was brought into Judaism by the corrupt priests. Those same priests put Christ on the cross because Jesus put this nonsense to rest with his ministry. Jesus taught that the sacrifice needed to attain a spiritual relationship with God was of YOURSELF, not your livestock or crops in the form of penance to the priests so they could use those sacrifices to have a BBQ every Saturday.
Having said that, Christ paid the ultimate sacrifice of Himself; exemplifying that he truly is the only way to God. That way being His perfect example of how to live your life. In other words, self-sacrifice is the path to God. Conversely, self-serving is the path of man/Lucifer. Those that buy into blood sacrifice are literally worshiping Satan.
