>>2464836>women 30 years ago used to say you don't mind if I drink from a pint glass do you?i actually have a gr8 book called "The American City" by one Mr. Glaab and while most of it is mundane city planning stuff throughout yankee history, theres one chapter dedicated solely to alarmist diatribes about how cities are hellholes of impiety and degeneracy. these articles/papers/reports were written between 1850 and 1910. for the most part, they sound EXACTLY like modern cities and modern bar culture. its uncanny. the only way the past was more "classy" is that instead of shitty dubstep played off a laptop to cheap speakers, places had to get actual bands. but even then it was mostly swing, which was considered to be lazily made pop degeneracy for whores and drug peddlers, basically the equivalent of modern rap music. and not even stuff like 50 cent or even older stuff from when east coast/west coast was relevant, I mean swing was regarded much the same way trap and mumble rap are
