The guy who you said had it all probably thought the same way you did, but the reality is that money and connections aren't enough for a satisfied human existence.
Look at elon musk and any other rich person, they're constantly competing against eachother and they want more and more.
Elon especially has grifted far right from his previous somewhat liberal positions because he had a child of his come out as transgender, his wife divorced him and he couldn't accept it.
The more of something you have the less valuable it becomes.
If you want a happy life you're going to have to constantly have a goal that you never reach but always feel like you're making significant progress, while having genuine friends and stable relationships around you.
Life has no magic or fantasy we can use, we are all alone and we have nobody but eachother, i can't rid my pain but we can ease it.
If you want my personal opinion, i'd say read and teach yourself to be able to better understand this reality you have been put it and talk about these deep and private things with other people you can resonate with.
