One of the things I like about the commie blocks from that time is that all the necessary shops and services were available in very close proximity, thanks to spatial planning focused on family life. Also, there were large gaps between the buildings, I don't know why, but it gives a much greater comfort compared to blocks that are crammed next to each other.
