The smaller accomplishment came in 70ad when the Jewish word ended.
The bigger accomplishment, when the wicked "world" (but not the planet earth) will be ended by God and replaced by a just and righteous human society, is something that we can expect to happen soon.

And it also taught the Israelites (the loyal ones of course) that they could not ever be declared righteous before God by following the Mosaic Law alone.
Hence why Paul calls the Law an "educator towards Christ". Or a "tutor", as some translate it.
