The company is vertically integrated and does everything from training new miners in an academy to generating electricity with the thermal coal they produce. You just don't see that anymore in America.
I could grow to love such a company and a country with values like that. I am open minded and know Ukraine is much more conservative than the West, just as Poland is, even though it is a de facto outskirt of the Western Empire.
But I could do important things there, and deep down I have the warrior spirit.
