house across from me sold for 110k a year ago, vacant since. if the guy wanted to fill it would bring in max 1150. after property tax, tax on income, maintenance, dealing with tenant, maybe 750. so 9k a year. that's like 12 years if taxes don't go up and rents run with broader prices and houses don't appreciate faster than inflation (increasingly likely given demographics). wtf is that shit?
