I heard a theory that because giant tech companies from the past like AOL, Netscape and Yahoo have reached their prime and fallen low, it is reasonable to assume the same scenerio will happen with today's giant tech companies.
personally I think it is a bit flawed being that the internet is much larger than it was in the early 2000's, and considering companies like amazon do much more outside of their original service.
