purely hypothetically speaking if there was a god, who was infinitely good, omnipotent and omnipresent, what possible reason would he have to put humanity through all this suffering, if there was a single reason that wasnt malevolent it would simply be some sort of purification ritual for the human souls on earth, each hardship, trauma and piece of suffering is a piece contributing to your inter generational personal growth which will hopefully, eventually, make you refined and pure enough to be worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven
