>['The Divine Party', as the hired security goons around the perimeter of the Grand Serenity Hotel had come to know it, was not to be interrupted.]
These were explicit orders from the Golden Angel herself, and as one girl comes out the front door, tears running down her face, it was an order that the guards here were to hold to, explicitly. To that end, a direct order among those watching the doors surrounding the hotel perimeter. 'No undesirables.' Those in security will know that vague instructions can be a blessing and a curse, and the guards were being brutal with their assessments. One such guard was Chad Cash, who was standing firm in the night's air, with the reputation of a silent assassin. He would carry out orders with brutal efficiency, never speaking a single word, following orders without question. Curiously, he was known to flinch in the presence of certain types of women. Priscilla did not make him budge as she had walked past earlier; there are no issues here with blondes.
Chad Cash was once a promising lawyer, coming up in a class alongside such notables as D. Doyle, R. Awyer and T. Thority, a standout even as they each drew the eyes of the crotchety old judges who needed another blonde in their Chambers. But pass the Bar he did, and Chad soon gained a reputation for his silver tongue, helping obviously guilty men and women walk free as he swayed the minds of the Spaghetti Town judges with almost preternatural ability. Rumours are, foreign drug lords had him on a shortlist and, though unconfirmed, Chad had heard that Cassie Kade herself was keen on him. To that end, he would spend his nights at Club Xtacy, hoping to catch the eye of the Irish Widowmaker. Night after night, avoiding all passes from the type of woman who would frequent such an establishment, but never managing to catch those Emerald Eyes of the Emerald Isle. Not *those* emerald eyes.
