The old mystery faiths that came from Babylon.
The Amorites kept it going.
Abraham went and stayed with them in Canaan. But there was a split.
The Amorites took over Babylon and then Hyksos foreign kings took over Egypt.
When the Hebrews got free Moses was given a new path, the Hebrews went back and fought the Amorites and took Jerusalem.
But they didn't kick out everyone. And Solomon took up some of the old ways.
Every once and a while a King would kick out the other faiths and just stick to serving YHWH.
And eventually after coming back from Babylon tried to do that. But they lost their way again.
Jesus destroyed the old ways and established a new covenant.
For a long time there was an attempt to destroy or infiltrate Christianity.
Eventually slavery was used, shipping over Africans into the West to provide something to divide the people.
Jesus is the only solution and the only way out.
