Before WW1, Honor, Benevolence, Justice, Politeness, Courage, Loyalty and Self control were all inherently European virtues. But then WW1 happened and we slaughtered each other. This benefited the Americans who imposed their culture of individualism upon Europe. It's individualism vs collectivism.
Europe can be lifted up once again by freeing us from the shackles of American hegemony.
