https://www.forbes.com/2008/07/03/energy-efficiency-cogeneration-biz-energy_cx_jz_0707efficiency_horror.html#20f45a8b3343i'm supposed to form an opinion on a forbes article that basically says "we could increase fossil fuel efficiency by 50% (just trust us on this). here's 3 stories about how we're being stopped by big companies because it's a straight loss for them if we do so."
our prompt even pushes us towards talking about legislation. i'm seriously considering trying to find out if i can report the professor somehow. it seems totally unjustifiable to have us "form an opinion" a 10 year old article from a business magazine that isn't even disguised as potentially scientific, is obviously pushing a certain political viewpoint, and is just barely related to the lecture material by the thinnest thread.
>>11514783with how massive the entertainment industry in japan is, the potential for exporting that media, and the short supply of english speakers in japan i can't imagine it's exactly dying or flooded. the trick is probably just getting into the industry itself where it's taken seriously. a lot of american companies that import the media like netflix or crunchyroll are notoriously awful to their translators but that's because they accept really low quality freelance work. if you're in japan working for the companies that make the media i can't imagine it's nearly as bad
