Career, hobbies...doesn't matter, modern women see it as competition for your attention.

Anything moment of vulnerability you show will be thrown in your face just to win an argument.Emotional support goes one way: From men to women. Showing significant distress as a man is a great way for a women to "get the ick"...basically she can no longer see you as a man anymore because you've shown weakness.
In the end, marriage COULD be a great institution but we've let the power dynamic slip to the point where women have too much power and aren't held to any sort of standard.
