>>15969347Which is apparently because, the brain deems that those memories are unnecessary to keep. And what does unnecessary mean, anyway? What does it matter for? Is there not enough space in my memory, that if I don't forget my brain I'll run out of space and have my head explode, or something? Which is impossible. The brain wiping away dreams is the equivalent of you deleting 1KB .txt files in your 50 terabyte drive, in order to make space.
Just who are you to decide what I want to keep and don't, brain? I'm pretty sure that the memory of me having a shootout in my dream is far more important that a lot of the other things that happen throughout the day. How does that not get you angry? I'm so terrible at remembering my dreams even if something cool may have happened in them, and it's all my brain's fault. When did I ever give you the permission to do whatever you want with my memories? I could instead do with forgetting what I had for breakfast over the dream that I had, doesn't the former sound more unnecessary? And, while we're at that, why can't I wipe the memories that I don't like? Imagine if you could just straight up wipe away the memories that torture you, inside your mind. I mean, some people straight up go insane and kill themselves because of the demons in their minds, over their past. How come that while pleasant dreams get wiped, the brain does nothing to do away with those other things when it pushes to a person to the point of insanity? Maybe it just simply can't, but in that case, it shouldn't mess with your dreams either. I really wonder what I dreamt about in my nap today. Too bad that I never will, cause apparently it's unnecessary for me to know. Fucker.
Although, that's being too harsh on the brain. You can practice and start remembering your dreams better, anyway. Your brain still does cool stuff like prevent you from pressing your jaw down too hard and shattering every single one of your teeth, because it has the force to do that.
