There is no incentive to stop sinning as no matter what you will sin. Any who clam that they don't are sinning to you by lying. There was only one being who could never sin and he died so that we could be saved by believing in his sacrifice.
The peace of the Lord is knowing that despite the sins you committed and the sins you will commit in the unknown future you will live to see paradise.
