The Amalekites where the people of Amelek, son of Eliphaz (means My God is gold). Grandson of Esau who was Edom.

The Amalekites harassed the Hebrews during their Exodus from Egypt and attacked them at Rephidim near Mount Sinai, where they were defeated by Joshua. They were among the nomadic raiders defeated by Gideon and were condemned to annihilation by Samuel. The Amalekites were defeated and destroyed COMPLETLY during the reign of Hezekiah somehwere between 715 to about 686 BC. They lived in the Kadesh Barnea which was South West of the land of Edom. We don't hear about them after that. 536 Years later Edom takes over the Kingdom of Judah. All the Amalekites have been dead for 2800 years.
Amalek was the grandson of Esau. Jews are the blood line of Esau and God hates them forever. Esau's tribe was the Edomites. Herod's father's name was Antipater the Edomite. The Edomites took over the Kingdom of Judah in 35 BC. It's not in the Bible. It takes place between the last book of the Old testament. Maccabees and the First Book of the New testament, Matthew.
