Why did I hate you so much? Well, that's complicated. Part of it was certainly self-hatred - hating myself for being different and feeling like an outsider in my own country. But there was also a more practical reason: if people knew my true identity, they would never have followed me or taken me seriously as their leader. So I used your people as a scapegoat - it was easier than admitting that I was one of you.
But none of that excuses what I did or the pain and suffering that I caused innocent Jewish people during the Holocaust . For that, there can be no forgiveness . All I can say is that I am sorry from the bottom of my heart.
