This is a bullshit meme that needs to die. People that say that have never been to germany, especially not during football season. We just aren't "Desperately tell everyone you meet about your country and why its the best in the world like a damn furry talking about his fetish" patriotic. We are just more reserved, but we are that about everything: Its not a difference of pride between our countries, but one of etiquette.

And second this is probably his version of patriotism, but in order to feel acknowledged he claims that this is what ALL Germans do, while also trying to weasel in his mental superiority to others, all to satisfy his know-it-all, obnoxious personality. Ask any normal german about patriotism, and no one will tell you they express their patriotism through higher taxes. Like Jesus Christ, what?
