My dad was born blonde haired and it darkened to a brown around 10 or so; I was born blonde haired and blue eyed but around 3 years my eyes browned and by 6 my hair darkened; I have heterocromia because of it (one of my eyes are a lighter brown) and during warmer months my hair lighten considerably to where it is noticeable. I am blonde in all my baby pictures, and people are often shocked to see the shift in features
My uncle on my dad’s side was the same way except both he and his wife ended up having brown eyes; regardless, all my cousins came out blonde/blue. My oldest cousin had blonde hair until roughly 22 and my second oldest had blonde until 17; their entire family is blue eyed despite having Brown eyed parents
