>>20922543>>20922684>>20922707>smart money is jumping ship. what happened today with retail being locked out is institutes trying to hault a runaway train. they have a lot to sell cant do it all at once. When did buffett reduce his aapl position? I remember in 2021 there were some 'scares' a few months (evergrande) before the big 2022 dumparoo/notcession. And it was around that time in september 2021 that fed bankers were "selling their stocks to prevent conflict of interest" or some shit like that.
Joe Kennedy and JP Morgan both sold their stocks in 1928, a year before the top was in. Logically there is always a pump after the election (even in 2008 the nasdaq went from 7400~ to 9100~ from october to january after obama was lected) so it's possible you either see a pump in august and a heeming in september, followed by a november-december election honeymoon pump, followed by a january-may dump like in 2022 with a march pump. Though it's hard to say obviously not all recessions will be the same. But I suppose reasonably if we assume the recession is in the future and not immediately, we must also assume buffett isn't selling immediately before.
Though I would note the volatility was because of fears of a nuclear exchange between israel and iran, hence why raytheon is up, and the iranians declaring they have nuclear weapons at the ready (important, as saudi arabia also has nukes and will likely disclose them publicly but unofficially).
It's hard to say, especially if a black swan nuclear war happens.
