>>14929452>As the image demonstrates:>---> In John 20:11 Jesus Christ is recorded to visit Mary Magdalene *first*.>---> Why Mary Magdalene? No one seems to know.>(Perhaps because she was the only one who remained at tomb while the others left..? See John Ch. 20.)>---> Therefore, it is entirely plausible that "the story" Mary tells in Her Gospel (or the story that is attributed to Mary), is what Jesus shares with her after His resurrection.>Of course, no one knows for sure.>And, curiously, the first *three* chapters are "missing" from "The Gospel of Mary".>... Missing?>Or, someone or "some group" is deliberately *hiding* those chapters from everyone else...?For those curious:
Reference for, "The Gospel of Mary" passage:
http://gnosis.org/library/marygosp.htmThe "Gnostics" claim that Gospels as "theirs", however that's silly.
The Gospel is about Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, therefore it is *Christian*, not "Gnostic".
Just think of those texts as the, "lost and forgotten" texts.
And regarding those, "Nag Hammadi" texts:
Remember that Islam conquered much of the area that was originally Christian, therefore there are still possibly many Christian texts from the time of Christ that have been buried, likely hidden from the early Muslim invaders that conquered many Christian towns and cities ~700 years after Christ.
It seems those "Nag Hammadi" texts may very well have been hidden from Islamic invaders, that's probably why they were hidden.
Anyways, the point is:
So many folks read those Gospels as "Gnostic" when what they really are, are texts about Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, that The Catholic Church -- for whatever reason(s) -- did not include in The New Testament.
And as mentioned above: perhaps one day there will be a, "Vatican III" which will revise/update The New Testament with some of those "lost and forgotten" texts?
