>>16924662>what's under the hood?I bought a 98 GMC K1500 with 196K miles, a manual tranny that had to be replaced, a busted 4x4 that still needs to be fixed, 20% tires, and a distributor and cap that failed in the first year for $5000. Including having the tranny rebuilt, I've put about $6000 into since I bought it in 2018 to repair/replace everything keeping it from being a solid truck. At this point I'm going to be able to put another 100K miles on it. $11000 / 4 years and I've payed a little under $3000 a year plus gas/oil changes/air filter. If you can find a truck before 99 buy it up now. Also manual transmissions double as a theft deterrent these days.
