If Nancy goes to Taiwan, China will definitely respond with something. It's not a bluff this time. However, it doesn't necessarily have to do with shooting down the plane, it could be an unprecedented economic sanction. Or it could actually be a missile to her plane.
Regardless, China's chart is looking more advantageous and will likely come out on top of this engagement if it continues down this trajectory
