Coincidental how our linguistic developments contrast between my cousin and I. Spanish was my first language then I moved away from the land and my Spanish suffered. My cousin learned English first then she moved to the land and her English suffered. She went to greater hardships however, she was endured prejudice and strain in terms of communication. At least she feels comfortable talking English to us. A part of me tried to forget Spanish, even if this website is "anonymous" I still feel self-conscious talking in Spanish. I think I should relearn it.
