So the shits are a common side effect of antibiotics because your gut bacteria get mostly destroyed.
This is why if you're on some extreme antibiotics they'll put you on a course of treatment afterwards to replenish your microbiome.
There can also be interactions with other drugs that do wind up causing damage to some parts of the body.
Generally speaking antibiotics are safe.
You might wind up feeling like shit for a while because of how it fucks up your microbiome which affects your digestion.
But it'll pass.
If you're on some of the more extreme antibiotics? Then it can get weird. But I doubt you're on those since those are generally only given if you're staying in hospital and nothing else is going to work.
