>>7208099Quality of life has gone up substantially in China, through whatever means, but I would say primarily though their use of and legislation surrounding market economics both within China and with other countries. They used to be primarily in poverty not so long ago and now they're not, and they're still climbing. GDP growth is a relevant factor, the faster that thing goes up the more opportunities a person living in that country has.
>>7208121>China is a dystonia dictatorshipCan't argue with that, they're an Oligarchy, and they do some shitty stuff. They do get results though, the trouble with democracy is people are only interested in voting for those who they think will benefit their lives right now, rather than those who would work for the countries best interests overall. The reason democratic countries are generally severely in debt is because people vote for parties that promise a bunch of shit we can't actually afford.
>>7208138>with Trump's messing around free trade its going to crashTo be fair I think Trump's trade war with China is justified, people didn't tax Chinese goods but the Chinese were taxing imports from everywhere. It's that exact sort of aggressive trading strategy that was making China so strong economically though, for instance if you move to China and build a life there you won't be allowed to sell your assets and move back, all that wealth stays in China so if you leave (or are forcibly removed) you keep nothing. The Chinese are fukt but effective. They will adapt.
