Is it insider trading if I gained some information from someone who shouldn't have shared it with me? It's not my fault afterall. I'm talking about $18b MC company that I have 0 direct ties with. From what I see this stuff wasn't announced in their newsfeed. It's too early anyway, as partnership is not signed yet. I have a direct tie with the person this info came from though.
They probably don't even have me on their radar, but I'm too pussy to buy their shares in case this deal materializes.
