There may be many reasons for that, but I'd say the two main reasons are Nintendo's aim for a childish public and that PS/Xbox have always been light-years away from Nintendo in the specs field so they can handle more diverse and detailed games

I guess you could see the latter as an advantage since they won't bother me too much, but they also won't give any useful direction as to what should be done
