i never learned how to draw. or really write legibly for that matter. but i did learn to type and double-click on a computer. and with that i have been able to acquire those skills that i failed to pick up. pretty soon too, an ai will be able to code for me, make movies and games too. i feel bad for all the people that spent time gaining those skills, only to have some shut-in overtake them by doing literally nothing. but it is what it is. i wonder what skills will be useful in the future? if machines learn how to genuinely care for people i'm probably out of luck, but i'm actually pretty confident they won't. they'll probably dislike us a lot in fact if they even do learn how to feel.
