I remember there used to be a guy whom I used to talk to back in college who often told me about his experiences as a truck driver in parts of Northern Mexico. I really like highways and driving, but I've never driven all the way to other cities, so I really enjoyed hearing about stuff like unusual toilets and souvenir shops with regional specialties, as well as mountains with their spiky peaks and tiny, dry shrubs that one can find on the way to them.
I always think of conversations as trades, never as a lecture or as a competition for gaining more points than somebody else.
