I said it was specifically that they were Fishtanks fans being the problem, not MDE fans, which made it more difficult to work with them because they were already in on the jokes which made stuff like the sharks useless. The sharks are supposed to make the fish uneasy just by their mere presence but the fish were usually excited to see them. I can agree with Vance that sometimes the cast was a bit too meta about the show but just means the production staff needed to step up their game and be more creative, not lazier. The cast was never being meta or cringe when they were doing new things or had a lot of activity keeping them busy.
