I actually handled paperwork for a large firm that owned hotels and some other properties and saw lots and lots of charitable payments by the Church. But it was like, how did these poor people qualify over others? Who told them about these opportunities? Same with the food banks and soup kitchens, if you've ever been it clearly isn't all the faithful being fed lol. But like I said, the point is the Church spends TONS of resources on charity, they're making a difference of some sort, and nobody ever talks about it. Also just IMO confession is a kind of charity. Therapy is expensive, I'd like to have someone to confide to on whats guilting me, for free.
