I suspect it has to do with the oaths we took with our energies: I dove into reading classics, spiritual texts, philosophy, etc and he just watches Cum Town and Barstool Sports. Knowledge becomes a prison because the things you end up caring about are so alien to the average person they can't understand the language you use.
It's terribly lonely.
