In fact, one can argue it is almost unenivitable that light skin people more often become elites, since all men desire fair skinned women. Ergo, some millionare/surgeon/royalty will usually want a fair skinned wife, in turn, over several generations, creating fair-skinned ruling class. This applies to all lands where light and dark skin is indigenious (which would basically be everywhere EXCEPT Northern Europe and Sub-Saharahn Africa. However, that doesn't change that many dark skinned people can and still do reach that level, like pic rel, who is a Syrian surgeon.
