>>592199>So what is the hope for you guys?As much as I'll sound as a fedora guy for saying this, but there isn't really any hope left.
>4 million Romanians have left the country, with a huge chunk of them being qualified professionals (braindrain effect) >the demographics are falling into oblivion (last year, there were more Romanians born outside of the country from expats) >our industries have been completely dismantled back in the 90's, with us only having Dacia now to brag with (local automobile company that is now owned by Renault, as it was sold by the state a couple of years back, as most of the profitable Romanian companies)>we have become an import-based country (we import food at astronomical prices - highest in Europe for that matter - while we export all of our products in the Western European Union) >we have the second lowest salary/month in the EU >we are 100 billion euros in debt (back in '89, we had 0 external debt for that matter, we started on a blank page after Ceausescu fell) >massive deforestation is being done in the Carpathian mountains by foreign EU companies (30% of the total forested areas are now gone in less than 10 years) >1/3 of the agriculture land in Romania is owned by foreign entities You take that and the fact that most of the population is heavily pro-EU and you have the perfect recipe for a shitstorm in the near future. Our demographics are showing that by 2050, there will be less than 13 million Romanians living in the country and there aren't any solutions to combat this - most of the younger generations are hellbent on leaving the country, as they see no future perspective by staying here due to massive corruption and general not-giving-a-fuck attitude displayed by all of the politicians.
My grandpa used to have a saying, may god bless his soul: "All of the true Romanians died during WW2 or in the aftermath of the war - all that is left are the mongrels that were brainwashed during the commies".
