The point is he's brilliant and will win except when undermined by his own side for political reasons. The point of Lohengramm is that he wins but it doesn't solve his problems. Them both winning often is literally implied in the title. The story is not about win rate or depicting something realistically, its about all the other issues around winning, and what it takes to win.
