>>4433022I used Discord for like a year. I joined and left hundreds of servers. In pretty much every server there were the same set off rules:
>just don't be a dick (i.e. the owner's friends will just ban whomever they feel like)>don't post anything illegal >don't advertise other servers (i.e. they don't want their member's collectively leaving to join a better server)There are like 50 servers on /soc/, and they all derived from like 2 or 3 original communities that split off because of drama. And if a server gets popular there will be like 5 unoriginal split offs with generic names all with the exact same people and the same rules.
Some servers have a few girls who everyone will orbit, and it will completely derail whatever community there was supposed to be.
The drama is non-stop on all of these communities. The only reason people make these public Discords is to be douchebags to everyone who joins.
The only exception to servers with these characteristics is if you make a private Discord with your real life friends or people who you're really getting into a game with. Then it's a neat tool.
