what if you just transport to a time where earth itself is completely fucked and thats what kills you lol
so, unless you also have teleporting technology and assuming that your time machine is this big bulky thing that you cant just carry around anywhere, you would be confined to earth in your time travel, even if humanity lives on and goes onto other planets to continue civilization you wont be able to reach them
there are some elaborate ways you could have yourself transported into another one of these planets i guess, but, i think in all cases itd be a point of no return kind of thing where you cant get back to your machine and are stuck in this time forever now
having your time machine somehow boarded onto one of these transport ships or whatever they use, idk, that sounds hard to me
but oh well maybe you could actually get it done i mean you are a fucking time traveler after all you should be able to get some things done, as long as this is still a time period where you can communicate with people (if not or if theres bad shit going around still then welp)
