Its not so much that she is betraying Eldia and her people, but the bad writing, you'd think the scouts are bipolar how fast they they're willing to flip on their nation.
Also worth noting Erwin sent hundreds of teenaged recruits to their deaths on a slim chance of winning a battle, and hange isn't willing to consider killing enemies she never met for the sake of Eldia who would cheer if the same happened to Paradis.
