Not to mention unlike today anons were better read, these days anons take memes as education into a discussion/topic. Ideological range here was wider, debates weren't shitty slapfights they are today.
This board wasn't treated as unofficial news/social media comment section. News were still posted about, but it wasn't clickbait reaction seeking like in social media and news sites.
