>>16103820>letting them watch CG shitIn a time and age that gives you access to almost literally all sorts of media, even the most obscure ones, you couldn't have picked any worse.
Honestly, in my case, I just let the 3 year old watch (40 minutes of cartoons per day at most) old traditional hand drawn animation and animal documentaries (not every day because it's longer).
Always do some quality control before showing it to your kid. Watch every episode (skip some bits if you want to go faster) to get a general idea and vibe before showing it.
In our case, we use all sorts of animation from all over the world (with subtitles on, not that the kid is reading these, but sometimes may learn some words); I recently had some 60s chinese animation (not commie propaganda), even Soviet (again, not political), and right now he is currently watching Miyazaki's Sherlock Hound.
No need to put it in English, I myself grew up in a trilingual context (English, French, Swedish) and kids can try to figure out what's going on with their imagination. It's not a bad exercise per se.
Also, this jigsaw puzzle brand is amazing. It's made in Norway, good quality.
My kid just keeps playing with it, keeps him quiet easily for an hour or two, everywhere, even during our travels overseas. I first bought one set, he kept playing with it everyday for hours, so I bought 4 of these.
