The issue is not actually that ashkenazis jews have a higher IQ, or are over-represented. Both a true.
The issue is that the over-representation is disproportionate. That's how they try to fool you.
See pic related. Caltech, which is hard STEM and does not do any kind of admission based on affirmative action or a recommendation letter from your rabbi, shows the kind of over-representation you would generally expect.
But all the ivy league numbers are way out of whack, and represent the nepotism of jews who have captured the higher education system.
You don't see those figures e.g. in France which has anonymous, gruelling admission tests to its engineering schools. You still see jews graduate from those schools, of course, but not 30% with them being less than 1% of the population.
TL;DR it's not that they are over-represented; it's HOW MUCH more than expected they are over-represented.
