I'm sure I'm guilty of judging people too, but I like to think I have the introspective capabilities to second-guess my knee-jerk reactions and actually think "fuck it, they're having fun, why not"
personally, I'm privileged in that eventually I'll be able to live vicariously through my kid, so if I had to do my life over and be single I'd honestly advise myself to just fucking do shit because if you're not bound by a relationship then there's genuinely no-one who deserves your explanation beyond "I want to"
