i feel like when companies do this sort of thing they try to make it as obvious as possible in the korean spellings. like gfriend and gidle could potentially go over the head of english speakers, but in korean they are literally just "girlfriend" and "(girl) idle." based on that i'd expect them to leave zoa's name the same in english but spell it 좋아 korean to match the word exactly, but instead it's written 조아.
maybe i just have a lack of confidence about the silent H sound though. any of the times i've studied there's been no mention of it being so soft but i also swear i almost never hear it get pronounced at all. eunha's name is pronounced "oona" 100% of the time anybody says it for example
maybe if i sleep on it i'll come to some grand revelations
