One early morning at the Dojo, Andi Kestrel steps up in front of the trainees. She recalls a conversation with Paule B. Coupe the other night, inviting her to lead some drills at the Dojo. And though Andi hasn't been enrolled at the Dojo, nor has been taking lessons there, it's been a roof over her head since she came here this summer. She wants to give back, and if there's anything she can offer to the trainees, or the Doo staff, or any of the people here, she's happy to do it.
She doesn't exactly have any experience in leading training drills, but how hard can it be?
>"Hi everybody! So my name's Andi Kestrel, and I've been asked if I could lead you guys in doing some drills and stuff, right? And I thought, yeah, it sounds like fun, let's do this! So we're gonna do some exercises and stuff and try to get you all ready for your next big matches. And me and Robyn have a match at Cupid's Chokehold with the Rat 'n' Cat Connection so we gotta get ready too!"
Andi looks around at the class.
>"So the first thing you wanna do before you start doing drills is stretches. I'm a big believer in this myself, because stretches are how you get your body ready so that when you're going crazy and kicking too much ass, it's less likely to tear or break something. Then we'll do some light calisthenics, like jogging and jumping jacks and push ups and shit, to get your body used to moving. That's also important when you're getting ready to train. Ready? Let's GO!"
Andi stands before the Dojo and begins to lead them through her own routine of stretches and warm up exercises. It's..... not entirely bad, actually. Andi is an accomplished athlete and has studied wrestling before from a hodgepodge of trainers of varying quality all up and down the California independent scene. Her methods and her style of communication are a little ecclectic, and she's constantly looking around as if expecting to see Ash or Mighty Milf or somebody judging her or critiquing her for fucking this up.
