>>18229131Hearing Colby’s suppressed drawl, she can’t help but think of her days at Disney Bootcamp where the merchant class “strongly advised” her to get elocution lessons to get rid of her “retardrawl.” Bootcamp was grueling enough let alone adding extracurricular training which robbed her of all her free time. Uma had long loved her inflection; a product of her mother’s antebellum affectations and her father’s strong no-nonsense enunciation. But at the time, she was willing to sacrifice all that to get what she wanted.
Years passed before her graduating class was deemed ready to be a part of the Disney machine. By that time Uma had all but lost her Southern twang.
A casting call for a new show was put out. Most, if not all, of her batch vied for the part. Auditions were hard and tasking as Uma battled her way to be on the shortlist of 3 people. Of the 3, one had to drop out due to botched abortion and the other was some unknown hillbilly yokel with a Southern accent thick enough to be considered as mental retardation.
This was it. Her big break.
Ultimately, Uma Stacy Addams was deemed as “lacking character, relatability and charm” as she lost the role to Miley Cyrus. Not long after her failure to become Hannah Montana, she was cut from the Disney machine.
She lost a part of herself and all it got her was disappointment.
She lost it all.
She was defeated.
It was at that point that she vowed never to compromise herself for others again. The point in which she decided to end her dream of becoming a Disney idol and start her path to becoming America’s Idol.
Lamenting on the memory Miss USA hears Amy Flame talk.
