"The Wall" refers to a difference between men and women. It's a physical difference in how we age (men have more collagen, etc) and a psychological difference in how each gender perceives attractiveness in the other.
What men find attractive in women is almost entirely youth and fertility. Thus, a woman losing that as she ages is losing her attractiveness.
What women find attractive in men is a long (very long) list of things, many of which do not change as he ages ...and some of which actually improve with age (example: money, social status, competence, confidence, life experience, and many more).
