>>165822In a way we have enough of a shared history and culture that it feels almost like a nationalistic sentiment... Make /b/ Great Again, as it were, but something deeper than that obviously, that speaks to exactly what you said: the way things used to be, the way things could be again. The way we were. It was better then, when this culture was new and we were curious, more mischievous. When we were free. We were also allowed to raid back then, and that's the only part of the equation that's missing here... I wonder how we could get around that. I assume raiding is banned because of legal issues, but 4chan is best when it's punching the real world in the face from time to time.
But we need to reconnect with our old traditions, our old creative energy... Have you noticed how bad we are at memes lately? At doing anything except for react to what's happening in the real world? When fucking /tv/ is making the best content, you know something's gone wrong. So we need to turn it around. Somehow. I think we can do it here. But we need to raid. But this is all a good start too, I don't think there's anything comfier lately than this board.
And one last thing, we can use the lessons we've learned in this hypersaturated 2013-2017 era to make what we create in the future better. Applying the ethic of the past to the methods of the present probably means renaissance.
